Atex CMS Now Supports IPad And Kindle

By Mike Sachoff

Atex has announced that its content management system now supports publishing to the Apple iPad, Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader, Barnes & Noble nook and other e-readers.

Media companies can use their existing Atex content management system to capitalize on these technologies to publish content without custom development or additional operating costs. The functionality allows publishers to develop new digital revenue streams and increase the level of users interaction.

Depending on the model used, a media company can track the content users like most and allow readers to leave comments and answer poll questions. These features help publishers build better relationships with their readers and understand what content will keep their interest. Atex content solution can send user generated content back to editors as well, allowing constant interaction with readers.

"At Atex we see the growing popularity of e-readers and tablet devices presenting a very large business opportunity for our media customers," said Peter Marsh, Atex Head of Global Product Development.

"For that reason, we have an entire team dedicated to e-reader and tablet device development. This team is assigned the task of creating innovative features that capitalize on our integrated advertising, editorial and Web content management systems to help our customers realize the full revenue potential of these digital devices."
