Kentico Launches Free CMS Connector For SharePoint

Web content management software firm Kentico has introduced a free CMS Connector for Microsoft SharePoint.
The Connector allows business users to create content on their SharePoint Intranet and publish it on public websites powered by Kentico Web Content Management System. It helps companies to work around the lack of Web Content Management features of Microsoft SharePoint and make it easier to publish workflow.
Since SharePoint does not offer a complete solution for public websites, companies have to manage their online content in other systems. Kentico CMS allows business users to create content in the SharePoint environment they are familiar with and publish it automatically to websites without duplicating content in several applications.
"While SharePoint was designed for intranets, Kentico CMS for ASP.NET provides a complete solution for public-facing Web sites. It complements the SharePoint functionality and enables organizations to leverage their existing investments into SharePoint and Microsoft .NET platform," said Petr Palas, Kentico CEO.
